Statement from Governing Body

Swallow Hill Community College is currently undergoing the process to become an academy, sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust. We are pleased to be able to confirm that the final legal requirements are being completed and the conversion will take place in the near future.

The Principal Designate for the new academy is Saira Luffman, who joins the school from Oakbank School in Keighley. We will be introducing and welcoming Saira to the students and staff shortly as she will be present in the school from 7th June 2013 to allow her to familiarise herself with the current procedures in the school and to complete the AET initial needs analysis, which is completed when a school becomes one of their academies.

From 7th June 2013 until the point of transfer the school will continue to be run by the current acting Principal, Gill Knutsson, and the current senior leadership team and any matters or concerns should be raised with them.

When the date of transfer is finalised official notification will be released by the Governing Body.
